Bridal Benchmark 2012 is Almost Here!!!

It’s that time of year again! We are only five short weeks from the beginning of the 2012 SPRING BRIDAL BENCHMARK SERIES held by Simply Love Studio!

For those of you who may have missed out on the fabulous Fall Series, this is a Must-Plan to Do on your calendar!! (And if you were able to come to the Fall Series, there are plenty of fabulous new ideas and vendors, so please join us again!!! We’ve missed you!)

Bridal Benchmark is a Five Week Educational Series for Brides that focuses on everything from design elements and staying organized to creating a seamless and unique event! This Spring, Benchmark is sponsored by such fabulous vendors as: Affordable Invitations, Always Planned, AP Luxury Travel, Lundy’s Catering and Gold Shield Transportation! But look forward to hearing from so many other vendors from Photographers to Venues and DJ’s! It’s Here!!! Fall 2011 Extreme Venue Hop!!!

It’s finally here!!! Simply Love Studio is holding its Fall 2011 Extreme Venue Hop NEXT Sunday, October 16th!! The Venue Hop will take place from 1pm to 6pm and will begin at The Carrick House.

Venue Hop is the perfect event for Brides, Grooms, Friends and Family to come and see some of Lexington’s most beautiful venue’s in all of their Wedding Glory! We have some fabulous vendors taking part this year including Gold Shield Transportation who will be providing fabulous transportation for you and your guests! Don’t forget the scrumptious food and drinks provided by these wonderful vendors at each venue!

A Week in the Life!

Happy Monday Everyone!

We had such a blast this weekend getting to visit with so many brides and some of our amazing vendors: Dei Gratia Photography, Tinkers Cake Shop, Gourmet Goodies and The Ashley Inn just to name a few! The Diamond Rings and Pretty Things Fall Bridal Show was wonderful and we loved getting to meet new brides and hopefully new friends!

This week is a busy one at the studio and we are so excited. For those of you who came out last week or even if you didn’t get to make it out, we are hosting our Second week of Simply Love Studio’s Bridal Benchmark Series! This week, we will be visited by Tiger’s DJ Services, The Ashley Inn B&B, Gold Shield Transportation and Gourmet Goodies! Thelma at Gourmet Goodies will be providing absolutely scrumptious treats for everyone who comes out! Sarah and the girls at Simply Love have come up with yet another simply adorable DIY craft that you won’t want to miss! Come out Wednesday night and join in the fun!

The fun doesn’t stop there, because Thursday night Always Planned and AP Luxury Travel are hosting our Sandals Night! If you are still looking for a fabulous Honeymoon or just an All-Inclusive luxury getaway, come out for some free food, drinks and information on these amazing packages! Rayna and Mallory both chose Sandals resorts for their honeymoons and now can’t imagine taking a vacation of any kind without Sandals!

This weekend was truly wonderful, and we hope to see you all out at some of our fabulous events this week!! Look out for info coming soon about our New Studio Open House next week!!!

Diamond Rings and Pretty Things THIS Weekend!

This week has been a busy one at the studio!! Not only have we been getting ready for the Diamond Rings and Pretty Things Bridal Show this Sunday but Simply Love Studio held its first night of the Bridal Benchmark Series yesterday! For those of you who couldn’t make it out, there are still five more weeks left! We had an amazing turn out of beautiful brides and three wonderful vendor presentations including AP Luxury Travel!! While we were recovering from the sugar coma that Tinker’s Cake’s put us in, we started really kicking Bridal Show preparations into high gear! Burlap is cut, frames are painted and ready, gorgeous, luxurious linens are ready to be laid out and the girls of Always Planned are so excited to get to meet with you and share our love of weddings! The Bridal Show will take place at Embassy Suites off of Newtown Pike from 11am-5pm. There is NO admission charge for anyone!!  We would love to see everyone out there and get to spend time some time visiting with you all!  We (the interns!!) are just so excited for our first Bridal Show! Come out and stop by the booth to say hello and see yet another inspired design by Rayna and Mallory! Hope to see you all there!

Simply Love Studio Presents…!!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Just wanted to update you all about Simply Love Studio’s Bridal Benchmark Series that is beginning NEXT WEEK, Wednesday, September 14th!!! Many of you already may know, but Simply Love Studio is an incredible complimentary resource for any bride who may need help finding a vendor, venue or just about anything else to make your wedding fabulous! Bridal Benchmark Series is a 6-Week Complimentary Educational Series for Brides! Each event will prep you for your upcoming day and give you a chance to meet vendors and find new resources for your big day! Many of our highly recommended, talented vendors will be here to answer questions for you and show you what they are made of!

Oh and did I mention there are PRIZES involved?!?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMPLY LOVE STUDIO!!!

Simply Love Studio-Lexington’s only wedding and event resource studio- just celebrated their one year anniversary!!! Over the past year they have held two Venue Hops (a bridal show on wheels) and two educational series for brides known as the Bride’s Night Out Series with bigger and better things to come!!! So, if you are a bride out there who is feeling completely overwhelmed with the planning… stop by SLS and LeAnn, the Studio Manager can put your planning anxiety to ease— and it’s completely free!!!

DIY Project: Ribbon Wands

Last night at Simply Love Studio’s Bride’s Night Out event the Do It Yourself project was making ribbon wands. Ribbon wands are a fun way to tie together your wedding colors and are a great way to brighten up your wedding. Ribbon wands can be used instead of throwing birdseed or blowing bubbles when you leave your ceremony, and can even be used in place of sparklers as your guests see you off from your reception. They are easy to make, relatively inexpensive, and are better for the environment. For all of you who missed out on last night’s event, the Project Wedding website gives a simple and quick way to make ribbon wands for your wedding day.   

What you need:

  • Dowels or long wooden skewers
  • 3/4 yard of ribbon in your wedding colors (we used narrow satin ribbon but seam binding ribbon is inexpensive and works great!)

Step #1: Cut the ribbon to about 3/4 yard.

Step #2 Tie the strands on the dowel. Use as many as you like. More ribbon offers more impact.

Don’t Forget Wednesday!!

Many Thanks….

We just wanted to “Thank” everyone who braved the yucky weather and came out to our Sandals Night last night which was hosted by both AP Luxury Travel and Simply Love Studio!! We had a blast speaking to all the lovely brides and couples to help them on their way to an unforgettable honeymoon.

We had Trish Hartlage, a Sandals specialist give a presentation about each individual resort that Sandals has to offer. They are all very different and by the end of the night, I believe that all of our couples had a better understanding of which resort fit their style and personality better. Everyone seemed a little less confused when they left here, which is always our goal.

However, the couples not only received tons of information and advice about Sandals, but food and drinks as well!

Naked Pizza, the newest pizza place in town which uses all natural ingredients, sponsored pizza for all of our guests. It was absolutely delicious. We kept the leftovers and ate them for lunch today:-)

Plus, we had two fabulous bartenders from Event Tenders, LLC: Parham and Susan. Parham created his own speciality drinks for our event and named them after different Sandals resorts. They were absolutely fabulous and the biggest hit of the night!! (If you are looking for a bartender for your event… these guys are definitely the way to go!)
