Sandals Emerald Bay

honeymoons // No Comments

So a month or so a go Andrew and I went on a romantic holiday to the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas, we stayed at the new Sandals Emerald Bay all-inclusive Resort.  It was amazingly romantic, utterly gorgeous and breath-taking not to mention the fabulous service we experienced!

The beach here seriously is amazing.  We plan to go back this fall.   If you are interested in a Sandals or Beaches honeymoon or vacation, give me a call at 859-619-1841.  We offer the best discounts and incentives as well as many perks most travel agents don’t bother with.

We adore Spring and Summer weddings!  There is just something about the colors of the new flowers and how fresh and green everything is.  Love-it!! As I was searching for some blog inspiration I happened upon MarthaStewartWeddings.com.  Seriosly the team over at Martha Stewart has some pretty fantastic ideas!  Here are a few of my favorite fun details for a Spring/Summer Wedding.

I simply love this adorable favor idea, especially living in the South!!  And who doesn’t love pie?!

A fun take on the ice cream cart – Ice Cream Floats!  We have done several ice cream carts and smores bars over the past couple of years and this is a fun way to be a little different.  Love-it!

Ok- does it get much cuter than this?? Oh so cute and edible!  I am a firm believer in favors that are edible or actually usable.  A very fun and rustic favor idea.  Love-it!

OK… I admit it.  I am a HUGE Martha Stewart fan.  No joke, I seriously think we would be best friends if she knew me!  There are so many reasons I love her that I cannot even begin to tell you.  But know this-you will never hear me say a bad word about Martha.

All of that being said, when I learned that the Sandals and Beaches resorts (that I also adore and sell) was about to release Sandals Weddings by Martha Stewart my heart went all a flutter.  No joke, imagine this.  I was sitting in one of those lush board rooms at Sandals Dunn’s River and the screen I looking at just said “Sandals Wedding by Martha Stewart”.  OMG I almost jumped out of my seat!!  To imagine I could be a part of the Martha Stewart empire!

Well back to reality.  That was a couple of months ago and I am finally getting around to posting it on my blog.  This means you can call me today and we can discuss your very own Martha Stewart wedding at any Sandals and Beaches location! While looking back at the pictures of Kara and Jeremy of their wedding day I am reminded why I love what I do.  The special moments caught by the camera still bring tears to my eyes.

I met Kara exactly one year before her wedding day when Nicole (of Nicole and Byers 10/17/08) grabbed me by the hand and introduced me to Kara, who had just gotten engaged!  Working with Kara and Jeremy was such a delight! I loved meeting their wonderful families and all of the special details they added to their wedding.

It takes amazing vendors to pull off such an amazing wedding.  It was a pleasure to work with each one of these quality vendors!

Must Do! Love-it!

One of the first things I did when I got married over three years ago was look into life insurance.

Sounds crazy I know, no one likes to think about death and especially at the happiest times in your life like getting married or having children.  The happiest times in your life should motivate you to take care of the ones you love by providing life insurance.  Life is so precious and we should live each day to the fullest, while appreciating the moments we have.  Consider taking care of your family with insurance.

Commonwealth Central Insurance offers every type of insurance you could need for personal or business.  They provide excellent customer service, competitive rates and a friendly face all while giving you the honesty you deserve.  I know both Phillip Hunt and Trish Goff personally and I have loved my experience working with both of them.  Just one of the reason’s I am adding them to our Love-It! folder.  Call them today for your free no-obigation insurance quote. It’s one of the best things you could do for the ones you love.

Mondays are always an office day for me and Tuesdays are my “meeting’ day.  This Tuesday was no different and my first meeting of the day sent me to Versailles, KY.  I, along with Mallory and Sarah (Team AP), headed off to the castle.  No, not the jewelry store.  The actual Versailles Castle!  ;)   What a treat it was to meet Jennie the General Manager and take the grand tour.  Pictures were not allowed, but I can tell you that a picture would not do this place justice.  The long wait for it to be completed has been well worth it and CastlePost is a stunning elegant venue.  More details to come as we may have some very exciting news for you.  Our devoted readers will hear it first, so stay tuned!

After our fabulous morning and lunch at Panera we headed off to meet with a new caterer in town.  Shaun’s Custom Catering and Bibs BBQ put on a fantastic show for us as we arrived to a feast of shrimp cocktail, appetizers, pulled pork BBQ and even bread pudding.  I must admit, I am a huge BBQ fan so I thought this could be a difficult sale for the guys at Bibb’s – but WOW, they completely impressed us with their southern charm and delicious food.  We are definitely looking forward to working with these guys soon and trying more of their tastey dishes.   They have been added to our CRP (Cupcake Referral Program), meaning these guys get yummy cupcakes and added to our preferred vendor list.  Love-it!

Our day kept getting better and better.  The folks at the Hyatt never fail to impress us with their hospitality and yummy pasta bar!  They were next on our stop for their Holiday Open House.  We received a personal invitation from Amanda, who are we to say no to fabulous food and good company.  While there we were introduced to the Hyatt General Manager and even ran into some good friends you may recognize – Frank Becker with The Time Photography and Martine Holzman with Martines Pastries.  Forgot to mention that before heading to the Hyatt we stopped by Martine’s to pick up one of their amazing cakes for our AP Holiday Party.  The cake is one of their new Celebrations cakes available for order with a short notice.  While we were there, Martine mentioned they have some big plans coming soon.  All I will say is that AP LOVES CAKE!  So you can imagine how happy we are to hear more cake is in the future.  ;)

Now on to the grand finale to our great day.  I invited Team AP (Always Planned) to our home to celebrate a wonderful year, great friendship and the many blessings we all have.  We had some wonderful food, great laughs, yummy cake and then opened some fun gifts.  I am a huge gift-giver and was so excited about some of the awesome finds I found for everyone.  In return, I also received some personal gifts and memories of a wonderful year.
