Royal Wedding Countdown

Here at Always Planned, we are obsessed with the Royal Wedding! Every time there is a special on TV or an article about the wedding on the Internet, you better believe I am right there soaking it in (and yes I have  even considered watching the Lifetime original movie “William & Kate” that chronicles their relationship).  To celebrate this royal affair, the ladies of Always Planned will be attending “A Formal Affair Royal Wedding Brunch” hosted by Simply Love Studio. The fun begins at 10:00 am on April 29th and will include a British inspired brunch and complete coverage of the Royal Wedding, including showing of the processional and ceremony footage that will originally air at 6:00 am. We will offer a full commentary of the wedding and enjoy viewing this large event from a commoner’s point of view. So bring your friends and your British accent and join us for a brunch to remember!

Greentree Tearoom

Here at Always Planned, we are always looking for fun new places to eat, shop, and hold events. Well we have found the perfect place where you can do all three. The Greentree Tearoom is an adorable venue close to downtown Lexington. They serve a delicious luncheon tea during the week. Their menu changes once a month and usually consists of a soup, decadent scone, main course, and a buffet of finger sandwiches and desserts. They also have a showroom where they sell fine antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries. One of the most exciting aspects about the Greentree Tearoom is that they are available for special occasions. This venue would be the perfect place for rehearsal dinners, small receptions, and bridal luncheons. A beautiful garden and lavish decorations make Greentree a perfect site for your special events.

The luncheon tea is served at noon Wednesday through Saturday, and also at 3:00 p.m on Saturday, or by appointment. The Greentree Antiques showroom is open Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm or by appointment. They are located at 521West Short Street in downtown Lexington. Reservations are needed.

The Greentree Tearoom is the perfect place for your special occasions, a wonderful place to take your loved ones out for a special meal, and just an overall unique place to have lunch. Office Manager/Client Services Director

This position is approx. 20-30 hrs per week.  You will handle all scheduling and daily office procedures.  Organization and development of procedures.  Quickbooks knowledge is a major plus! No need to have wedding/event related experience.

Floral Designer

We are looking for someone who is experienced in the floral industry with style and flair!  If you have no knowledge of flowers, please do not apply.  This position will be required to work weekends and have the experience in the wedding industry.

Seriously Love-it!!

OK, so you already know that I love to shop.  I really do- I LOVE shopping!  There is something about the buggy being so full, or purchasing so much that it takes 2-3 trips to the car!  EEKKK!!  Love-it!

For some time now I have adored a vintage shop down the road from my office.  Feather Your Nest is a wonderful place to kill an afternoon, redecorate your home or office and even find some pretty fabulous ideas for your upcoming dinner party, wedding or event.  Today, after networking (PURDONS!) and meetings (NEW INTERN!) I found myself at Feather Your Nest.

First off – I crack up at the name.  haha It is too cute!  Then when you walk inside its is a total love fest.  This boutique is filled with china (Love-it!), handpainted furniture, vintage jewelry, clothing, fabulous hats and gloves, tons of unique decor items and more.  I cannot even begin to list everything they offer.  You simply must go for yourself!

I love -it! So much that I am going to do a feature on how to incorporate Vintage into your wedding to create Vintage Couture looks.  So stay on the lookout for some great ideas, pictures and Always Planned creations all from Feather Your Nest.

Bride Wars!! LOVE-IT!! Love-IT!!! LOVE-It!

Bride Wars…..  OK, can I say it enough??!?  I seriously loved this movie!  Maybe because I am a wedding planner, maybe because I so desperately needed a girl night or maybe because I went with my fab friend Sarah.  Who knows-  but I am thinking it’s because this movie is just that good.

Bride Wars is also filled with tons and tons of wedding eye candy!  I absolutely adored the Vera Wang gown the stunning florals and the great comedy.  A total must see for anyone, especially the bride-to-be.

Go Green! Love-it…

Amazon has a fantastic new service called Amazon Green.  A great new service offering products for those with the world in mind.  Everything from Reusable Tote bags to Fluorescent Bulbs, a Scotts Push Mower and even toilet paper!  Andrew and I are thinking about a new programmable thermostat, to help with the huge heating bill this winter.  There is even a blog to go with the new site.

You may not know that I am already a huge fan of recycling, but I am also on the “green” bandwagon and a HUGE fan of Amazon.com.  Filing this to my “Love-it” folder. ;)
