Molly The AP Mascot!

My days are filled with vendor meetings, sitting in front of the computer, arranging glassware, dreaming up new ideas and designs and so on. Most of the time I have Molly by my side. Molly is the best side-kick anyone could have! If I am stressed from too many emails or staring at a computer too long, Molly is there to snuggle up to me, roll over on my computer, or bring me a toy to throw for her. She always has the cutest look and she does the cutest things. I just wanted to share one of the little joys in my life. Hope your having a great day!

Ritz-Carlton Hotels and Resorts – LOVE-IT!

It is so nice to hear of someone doing a good thing. It is especially nice to hear of a company doing a good thing, even when our economy is in a recession. I had already been impressed with The Ritz-Carlton family of Hotels and Resorts, but when I recently heard of their generous donation I just had to spead the word. The Ritz-Carlton’s “Vow to Help Others” program enables couples hosting their wedding reception at a Ritz-Carlton Hotel or Resort to donate five percent (5%) of the total food revenue from their wedding to a charity of their choice AND to The Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints Fund (For wedding events booked prior to December 31, 2009 – taking place prior to December 31, 2010).

The Ritz-Carlton has long been supporting the communities around them with their Community Footprints Fund. The money they donate focuses on Hunger and Poverty Relief, Well-being of Disadantaged Children and Environmental Conservation. Last year alone they donated over $7.4 million in products and services to charitable organizations as well as over 40,000 hours of volunteer work.

I hope you are considering The Ritz-Carton for your wedding celebration, next vacation or business trip. Their extraordinary service, gold standards and community envolvement is reason enough – but now that you know the Ritz-Carlton is doing more for the communities around them I know they will become the first choice for all of your travel and celebration needs.

Here in Kentucky today it is -2 degrees! Insane! To keep me moving – I tend to want to hibernate when it is this freaking cold!! – I am working on a few exciting events. Besides the many fabulous weddings we have coming up we also have some fantastic corporate events and even our very own bridal show in August.

To keep you motivated I am going to talk about Facebook!

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about (doubt there are too many of you), Facebook is a free online social networking site whick can be quite addictive as well as productive.

I love it for the networking aspect of it. If you, like me, own your own business or are a business professional it is a great resource for meeting people and even clients. I have yet to actually meet a client from Facebook, but i am able to keep in touch with past and present clients. It really is nice to be able to comment on pictures, status updates and more all while keeping me connected to friends, past classmates, clients and especially people in the wedding and event world.

COLOR! Love-it!

Most of you may already know that I love color! Lately I have been into neutrals, but these fabulous blogs bring me out of my state of boredom and into a color overload. My all-time favorite color is Turqouise (and most other shades of blue). You may be redecorating, re-arranging, planning an event or wedding or just simply looking for something in a certain color.
