Ok… I love my job!! Yes, it gets a tad bit stressful at times, but at the end of the day this is what I love to do! So, being a person who loves to read fiction I was so excited when Nora Roberts came out with a series about a group of women who run a wedding planning business. The series is called The Bridal Quartet which is made up of four books and the last of which is coming out this November. Of course each book has a love story mixed in, but they also talk about the stress of owning and running a business and the crazy happenings that wedding planners deal with on a regular basis. They are a quick easy reads and I would recommend them to anyone in the industry or if you are a bride looking for a good book to take on your honeymoon to read while relaxing on the beach. Check it out!
I must admit that I am a hopeless romantic! I see romance in everywhere we go and the many people we see. I know oh so cheesy…
That being said when checking out attractions in many honeymoon destinations I happened upon this. Amazing and breathtaking!

The ‘Wedded Rocks’ or ‘Husband and Wife Rocks’ are named after two Japanese Shinto deities, Izanagi and Izanami. Representing their enduring union is a heavy rope of rice straw, or shimenawa, which joins them. Like many married couples, they’ve weathered their share of storms. Together they sit in the sea near the shore of Ise, Japan.

When Andrew and I take a vacation we like to see the sights but also take some time to relax and enjoy what the city has to offer. In the midst of our planning I happened upon a cupcake tea!! And to top it off it was at the Ritz Carlton in Central Park!! Yes indeed; a Cupcake Tea at the Ritz Carlton! Oh my, I am in love! You have to see for yourself!

We started in the Star Lounge of the lobby and right off I realized we were meant to be there. Not only was everything decked out in the Always Planned blue, but I do love stars and we were actually sitting in the Star Lounge. EEK!

We began with tea, I had Darjeeling and Andrew had the Mad Hatter. Both were oh so yummy as we prepared it English style with cream and sugar. We were also greeted with a tray of nuts.

I loved the white and brown sugar cubes! So darling!

Wow, when our cupcakes arrived we were totally in shock at how adorable they were – almost too cute to eat! No worries, this was a pricey little experience so of course we dove in. Our flavors were Oreo, red velvet, lemon meringue, sundae, and carrot cake.

Our Winner!! All of the cupcakes were amazing, but the one that stands out the most was the Sundae!!! Seriously how can you go wrong with sprinkles, nuts and a cherry on top!
We loved the entire experience and highly suggest you try it our for yourself. If you do not plan to be near the Ritz Carlton in Central Park anytime soon, why not create your very own cupcake tea?! Great idea for a bridal tea, invite your girlfriends over or have a fun and romantic date with your sweetie. It truly is hard to go wrong with cupcakes!
Enjoy!

Andrew and I (my darling husband) just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Can you believe it has been five whole years!!! Ok, so maybe you can, but for me it feels like just yesterday that he got down on one knee and proposed to me in the bathroom… yes, I know – so romantic!! lol Honestly, it was incredibly romantic and even though he made a true effort two weeks later, with a fab diamond ring, I will always remember our bathroom moment.
That being said, we decided to plan a trip to New York City in honor of our anniversary. It just so happened that I also needed to go to NYC for a business meeting – Woman Entrepreneurs Rock the World conference!!! I had an amazing time; more on that later.
This post is all about NYC and how it can be utterly romantic, fun and exciting! This story will be told in pictures and will be a detailed account of our trip. Enjoy!!

The oh so cool Chelsea Market. We loved it there!! If you are in the Chelsea area you must stop by.

What is a trip to New York City without stopping at Kleinfeld?? Yes, indeed we did go in. We were promptly stopped at the door due to the filming of Say Yes To The Dress. ;(
We took the Staten Island Ferry and got to check out the most famous lady in NYC – the Statue of Liberty. She looked smaller than I expected.
We met a group of very nice ladies and one of them offered to take our picture. We rarely miss a photo opportunity.
More on our wonderful trip to NYC soon!

So a month or so a go Andrew and I went on a romantic holiday to the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas, we stayed at the new Sandals Emerald Bay all-inclusive Resort. It was amazingly romantic, utterly gorgeous and breath-taking not to mention the fabulous service we experienced!
