Lead Design and Event Producer
Rayna Ortwein, owner of Always Planned, is from a small town in eastern Kentucky and has lived throughout central and eastern Kentucky her entire life. Graduating from Montgomery County High School, she later attended the University of Kentucky and Penn Foster University where she received the Professional Bridal Consultant (PBC) designation. In December of 2003 she met the man of her dreams and in May 2005 they married in a romantic outdoor ceremony at Talon Winery. Four years later and they still act like two love birds!
She incorporates her passion for entertaining, elegant design and interior decorating into every event she plans. She loves meeting new people and the excitement of each event. When not planning events or meeting with clients she can be found spending time with family and friends, traveling or shopping the latest fashions.
Always Planned Team
The Always Planned Team is made up of the most amazing and hard working people around. You can literally throw anything their way and I am sure they can tackle it with grace and style. I am honored to have each of them on our team.
Amber Boozer is from the suburbs of Chattanooga, TN and joined the Always Planned team in August 2008. Her favorite part of every wedding is seeing the bride in her gown for the first time.
Sarah Burton is from Monticello, KY but can often be found in Lexington shopping at her favorite store, Talbot’s or Macy’s, of course with a sweet tea in hand. Sarah joined the Always Planned team in June of 2008 and is sure to be around for a while. Seems like when there is a good story it always involved Sarah. Lately, she has also aquired the talent of baking cakes! Cake just happens to be a staple at every Always Planned event.
Mallory Harmon is from the small town of Carlisle, KY and now lives in Shelbyville, KY. She loves shopping, almost as much as Rayna does, and her favorite store of the moment is J. Crew. Mallory is a true southern gal – she loves to cook and her favorite meal is scalded lettuce, mashed potatoes, bacon, and cottage cheese with some sweet tea. She loves good ol’ country cooking. Mallory joined the Always Planned team in May 2008 after her initial interview lasted over 4 hours! Needless to say Mallory and Rayna are great friends!
Andrew Ortwein is from Frankfort, KY and has enjoyed making movies since he was a child. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Andrew has worked with many non-profit organizations, large corporations and small businesses to help them portray the professional image they desire. When Andrew is not working on web design or videos he can be found banging on the drums, playing the piano or strumming the guitar. Andrew is a tremendous help at almost every wedding and is the designer for the fabulous Always Planned website. He truly is a jack of all trades!
Ashley Rill is from Ashtabula, Ohio and recently graduated from Kent State University. Ashley started as an intern for Always Planned in August of 2009 and will begin taking on her own weddings for Always Planned in early 2010. She loves being an integral part of the AP team and all of the fun times we have working the best events in the area. Ashley also loves to shop and always looks for the best deals!
Marisa Winkler is from Lexington, KY and has been a part of the Always Planned family since 2008. Marisa and Rayna have been best friends since 2004, so when it came time to grow the business it just made sense to bring Marisa into this amazing group! When not helping out at the most amazing weddings she can be found with her loving husband and two adorable children or shopping the latest trends at New York & Co. or Old Navy. Her favorite part of every wedding is when the bride walks down the aisle!
