Stuck Inside…

Usually Tuesdays are my “meeting” days.  I love going around to check out a venue, new caterer or visit with the area’s most fantastic vendors.  Today I am stuck inside.  Although it goes against almost every I stand for – I love to be constantly on the go – I must admit this round of “ice” has made me relax and enjoy the time off.  So I say YIPPEE to the snow and ice, as long as we continue to have power, food and running water.  ;)

Those of you stranded inside your homes, I hope you take this time to breath and enjoy the break.

Belterra Casino Resort and Spa – Vendor Spotlight!

I really love what I do!  Tuesday I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Belterra Casino Resort & Spa.  Alecia McAllister, the Catering Sales Coordinator, introduced me to the first class staff and gave me the grand tour of this luxurious space.  Belterra offers many different meeting spaces and ballrooms and they are ready for your fabulous wedding, company gala or family reunion as well as every event in between.

With a Starbucks, Jeff Ruby’s Restaurant, Championship Golf Course and outstanding accommodations (oh and how can I forget the casino?!?) why would you go anywhere else?

The outstanding service was everywhere I turned and I could not help but want to plan a wedding or event here soon.   You are sure to have the most wonderful experience when it comes to your next vacation, corporate event or your fabulous destination wedding.

Bride Wars!! LOVE-IT!! Love-IT!!! LOVE-It!

Bride Wars…..  OK, can I say it enough??!?  I seriously loved this movie!  Maybe because I am a wedding planner, maybe because I so desperately needed a girl night or maybe because I went with my fab friend Sarah.  Who knows-  but I am thinking it’s because this movie is just that good.

Bride Wars is also filled with tons and tons of wedding eye candy!  I absolutely adored the Vera Wang gown the stunning florals and the great comedy.  A total must see for anyone, especially the bride-to-be.

Must Do! Love-it!

Social Networking.

Here in Kentucky today it is -2 degrees!  Insane!  To keep me moving – I tend to want to hibernate when it is this freaking cold!! – I am working on a few exciting events.  Besides the many fabulous weddings we have coming up we also have some fantastic corporate events and even our very own bridal show in August.

To keep you motivated I am going to talk about Facebook!

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about (doubt there are too many of you), Facebook is a free online social networking site whick can be quite addictive as well as productive.

I love it for the networking aspect of it.  If you, like me, own your own business or are a business professional it is a great resource for meeting people and even clients.  I have yet to actually meet a client from Facebook, but i am able to keep in touch with past and present clients.  It really is nice to be able to comment on pictures, status updates and more all while keeping me connected to friends, past classmates, clients and especially people in the wedding and event world.

What a fantastic bridal show!

We wanted to say “HI” to all of the fabulous brides we met today at the Bridal Potpourri Bridal Show at Embassy Suites in Lexington, KY.  It was a very busy day and we are super-excited about the upcoming consults we have scheduled.  If you were unable to book a free consultation today while at the bridal show, then be sure to call or email us soon.  Our 2009 and 2010 calendars are filling up fast!  While we would love to work with all of you fabulous brides out there – however, we do limit the number of weddings we do annually.

Etsy Your Wedding – Love-it!

As our very first blog post for 2009, we knew our readers needed something exciting!  This website will keep you busy for hours and will leave you will wanting more.  Etsy.com has quickly became one of my alltime favorite shopping sites.  It definitely has something for everyone and for every desire.  Today we are going to focus on the wedding end of Etsy.  If you are just starting to plan your wedding or your planning is going full swing- I am almost sure you will find something you can use on Etsy.com.  Here are a few of my favorite wedding finds of the day!

Everything on Etsy is either handmade or vintage.  The stunning gown is custom made and only $425!!!  By The Chic Bride, Inc.  The romantic veil by Rohm for $195 (What an amaxing impact!!) and the monogrammed umbrella is only $49 and custom made by Fox and Prince.  These stylish and oh so personal finds are just one of the many reasons I am adding Etsy.com to my Love-It File – you should too. ;)
