Fun Details for Summer Weddings! Love-it!!

We adore Spring and Summer weddings!  There is just something about the colors of the new flowers and how fresh and green everything is.  Love-it!! As I was searching for some blog inspiration I happened upon MarthaStewartWeddings.com.  Seriosly the team over at Martha Stewart has some pretty fantastic ideas!  Here are a few of my favorite fun details for a Spring/Summer Wedding.

I simply love this adorable favor idea, especially living in the South!!  And who doesn’t love pie?!

A fun take on the ice cream cart – Ice Cream Floats!  We have done several ice cream carts and smores bars over the past couple of years and this is a fun way to be a little different.  Love-it!

Ok- does it get much cuter than this?? Oh so cute and edible!  I am a firm believer in favors that are edible or actually usable.  A very fun and rustic favor idea.  Love-it!

Martha Stewart Weddings at Sandals

OK… I admit it.  I am a HUGE Martha Stewart fan.  No joke, I seriously think we would be best friends if she knew me!  There are so many reasons I love her that I cannot even begin to tell you.  But know this-you will never hear me say a bad word about Martha.

All of that being said, when I learned that the Sandals and Beaches resorts (that I also adore and sell) was about to release Sandals Weddings by Martha Stewart my heart went all a flutter.  No joke, imagine this.  I was sitting in one of those lush board rooms at Sandals Dunn’s River and the screen I looking at just said “Sandals Wedding by Martha Stewart”.  OMG I almost jumped out of my seat!!  To imagine I could be a part of the Martha Stewart empire!

Well back to reality.  That was a couple of months ago and I am finally getting around to posting it on my blog.  This means you can call me today and we can discuss your very own Martha Stewart wedding at any Sandals and Beaches location! Kara and Jeremy – Fall Kentucky Wedding

While looking back at the pictures of Kara and Jeremy of their wedding day I am reminded why I love what I do.  The special moments caught by the camera still bring tears to my eyes.

I met Kara exactly one year before her wedding day when Nicole (of Nicole and Byers 10/17/08) grabbed me by the hand and introduced me to Kara, who had just gotten engaged!  Working with Kara and Jeremy was such a delight! I loved meeting their wonderful families and all of the special details they added to their wedding.

It takes amazing vendors to pull off such an amazing wedding.  It was a pleasure to work with each one of these quality vendors!

Are you or someone you know is interested in our Winter/Spring 2010 Intern Program?  This could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.  By joining our dynamic team you could advance your career, earn college credit or gain experience in an industry with amazing advantages, even more amazing people and be involved in some of the areas most stylish and unique events.  It’s not all fun and games.  We work, we work hard, and as a intern you will have to do the not so fun stuff like organizing, filing, making calls and shopping.  Somehow I always seem to work in the shopping angle!

Holiday Schedule

Wow, it is hard for me to believe that 2009 is coming to a close.  We already have 6 AMAZING weddings on the books for 2010 and the holidays are fast approaching! This is just a reminder of our holiday schedule for the remainder of 2009.

  • We will be closed the week of November 22, 2009 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
  • We will be closed December 20, 2009 to January 2, 2010 in observance of the Christmas and New Year Holidays.

Romantic Purple, Black and White Wedding!

I have recently fallen in love with the color purple!  I have always been into bright colors, but the beautiful wedding of Ashley and Camden has swiftly changed my mind.  See for yourself and let me know what you think!

Fun and Unique Red and Turquoise Wedding!

I am beyond excited to introduce to you the amazing wedding of Nikki and AJ.  When I met Nikki, via email, I knew she was someone who is fun, unique and anything but ordinary.   It’s hard to believe that every detail was planned through email and I never actually met Nikki or AJ until the day before their wedding.  But when I did meet them it was like we were old friends.  It is wonderful to be able to connect with every one of my brides and Nikki was no exception.  Actually, we both say we are kindred spirits and have become friends in the process.  I cherish the fact that I was able to help them have the wedding of their dreams.

A note to Nikki and AJ – May your love last as long as fabric flowers, your kisses be as sweet as smores and may you dance like ribbon in the wind!  Your wedding will always be one of the highlights of my life.  Love to you both!

I recently met Alan and Kristina at the ACE Weekly “Best of Lex” celebration and I was more than impressed! Alan made everyone feel like a movie star while working the red carpet and Kristina captured all of the moments of the evening. I love their style and their personalities – totally important when choosing your wedding photography.

When/How started: We met and began working as freelance photographers while earning our Bachelors Degrees in Art Studio at the University of Kentucky.

Most memorable wedding/couple: Marissa and Damien. She entered the church to “Chariots of Fire”, it was incredible!

Where from: Alan is from Paducah, KY, and has lived in Central KY since 2002. Kristina has lived all over the U.S., from Florida to Washington, California to Vermont, and moved to Central KY in 1998.
